New section 66 (2) to (6)

(2) A regulation may make provision in relation to energy for articles of electrical equipment, including the following:
(a) standards of energy efficiency;
(b) examination and testing;
(c) labels and labelling.
(3) A regulation may apply, adopt or incorporate the law of another jurisdiction or an instrument as in force from time to time.
(4) The Legislation Act
, section 47 (5) or (6) does not apply in relation to the law of another jurisdiction or an instrument applied, adopted or incorporated under a regulation.
Note Laws of another jurisdiction and instruments mentioned in s (4) do not need to be notified under the Legislation Act
because s 47 (5) and (6) do not apply (see Legislation Act
, s 47 (7)).
(5) A regulation may create offences and fix maximum penalties of not more than 60 penalty units for the offences.
