DISCRIMINATION ACT 1991 (NO. 81 OF 1991) - SECT 89

Interim decisions

89. (1) The Commissioner may, at any time during an investigation, give such directions to a party as are necessary to preserve—

(a)     the status quo between the parties; or

(b)     the rights of the parties;

pending the completion of the investigation.

(2) A direction shall be—

(a)     in writing; and

(b)     accompanied by a written statement setting out the Commissioner's reasons for the direction.

(3) The validity of a direction shall not be taken to be affected by a failure to comply with paragraph (2) (b).
