Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts(1) The relevant council for an Australian legal practitioner may, in writing, approve an indemnity fund to be a fund to which the practitioner may make contributions.
(2) Without limiting subsection (1), an approval may be given in relation to a fund established under a corresponding law.
(3) An approval is a notifiable instrument.
Note A notifiable instrument must be notified under the Legislation Act.
(4) In this section:
"indemnity fund" means a fund established to assist in meeting claims against
Australian legal practitioners in relation to the conduct of the
practitioner's practice other than claims involving a dishonest act or
omission.
