MAGISTRATES COURT (ENFORCEMENT OF (NO. 61 OF 1994) - SECT 4

4. Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended—

    (a)     by inserting in subsection (1) the following definitions:

“ ‘approved form' means a form approved under subsection 284 (3);

‘bailiff' means a bailiff of the court;

‘corporation' includes a body of persons that may by law sue or be sued, whether in its own name or in the name of an officer or other person;

‘officer', in relation to a corporation, includes a director and a person having (whether alone or with others) powers of management, direction or control of the corporation;”; and

        (b)     by omitting subsection (5) and substituting the following subsection:

“(5) In this Act, a reference to a form by number shall be read as a reference to—

        (a)     the form so numbered in the Schedule; or

        (b)     the approved form so numbered;

as the case may be.”.
