MOTOR TRAFFIC (AMENDMENT) ACT (NO. 2) 1990 (NO. 14 OF 1990) - SECT 4

4. Section 7 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (2) and substituting the following subsection:

“(2) The Registrar shall not register, or renew the registration of, a motor vehicle unless he or she is satisfied that—

        (a)     the motor vehicle, its parts and equipment comply with such of the requirements of Part I of the Second Schedule as are applicable to the motor vehicle and are capable of complying with such of the requirements of Part XII as would be applicable to the motor vehicle if it were on a public street; and

        (b)     in the case of a motor vehicle to which the Motor Vehicles (Dimensions and Mass) Act 1990 applies—the motor vehicle, its parts and equipment comply with such of the provisions of Part II of that Act as are applicable to them.”.
