NURSES (AMENDMENT) ACT 1994 (NO. 47 OF 1994) - SECT 33

33. Section 64 of the Principal Act is amended—

        (a)     by omitting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection:

“(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection 12 (1), a person other than a person who is registered, or entitled to be registered, under this Act as a general nurse is entitled to be registered as a mental health nurse if the person is otherwise entitled to be registered under paragraph 12 (1) (a).”; and

        (b)     by omitting from subsection (2) “the expiration of the period of 10 years after the commencement of this Act” and substituting “5 December 1998”.
