PEST PLANTS AND ANIMALS ACT 2005 (NO. 21 OF 2005) - SECT 19

    (1)     A person commits an offence if—

        (a)     the person, in the conduct of a business supplying animals, supplies an animal to someone else; and

        (b)     the animal supplied is a prohibited pest animal.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.

    (2)     An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.

    (3)     This section does not apply if the supply is—

        (a)     to an entity prescribed by regulation; or

        (b)     under a permit.
