PEST PLANTS AND ANIMALS ACT 2005 (NO. 21 OF 2005) - SECT 24

A person commits an offence if the person—

        (a)     disposes of something that is—

              (i)     a prohibited pest animal; or

              (ii)     contaminated by a prohibited pest animal; and

        (b)     is reckless about whether the thing is—

              (i)     a prohibited pest animal; or

              (ii)     contaminated by a prohibited pest animal; and

        (c)     is reckless about whether the disposal would result or be likely to result in the spread of prohibited pest animals of that kind.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.
