Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts(1) The operator of a retirement village commits an offence if the operator does not hold, in each financial year of the village, an annual management meeting of the residents of the village in accordance with this section.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(2) An offence against subsection (1) is a strict liability offence.
(3) The annual management meeting must be held not more than 4 months after the end of each financial year.
(4) Nothing in this section prevents the operator from calling a meeting of the residents at any other time.
