Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts Australian Capital Territory Numbered Acts(1) The Supreme Court may, on application by the administrator of a retirement village, make an order ending the village contracts in relation to the village if satisfied there is no reasonable prospect of finding a new operator for the village.
(2) If the court makes an order, the court—
(a) must, as far as the order relates to residence contracts, state in the order a day by when the residents who are affected by the order must vacate their residential premises in the village; and
(b) may order the operator or former operator (other than an administrator of the retirement village) to pay compensation to each resident affected by the order for the resident's loss of the benefit of the village contract; and
(c) may make any other order it considers appropriate.
