RETIREMENT VILLAGES ACT 2012 (NO. 38 OF 2012) - SECT 500

In this part:

"commencement day" means the day this Act, section 3 (Dictionary) commences.

"existing contract" means any of the following:

        (a)     a residence contract under the repealed code;

        (b)     any other contract, agreement, scheme or arrangement under which a person obtained the right to occupy residential premises in a complex that was, at the time the right was obtained, a retirement village within the meaning of this Act (even if it stopped being a retirement village before the commencement of this Act).

"repealed code" means the Fair Trading (Retirement Villages Industry) Code of Practice 1999 (NI1999-277).
