STATUTORY OFFICES (MISCELLANEOUS (NO. 97 OF 1994) - SECT 4 4. In this Part—“amended legislation” means legislation amended by this Act; “commencement day”, in relation to amended legislation, means the date of commencement of the amendments to that legislation effected by this Act; “continuing statutory office” means a statutory office corresponding to a relevant Government Service office, irrespective of whether the title of the statutory office is changed by the operation of this Act; “previous officer” means a person who has occupied, or acted in, a continuing statutory office or a previous statutory office under amended legislation before the commencement day; “previous statutory office” means a statutory office the functions of which are assigned to a continuing statutory office by the operation of this Act; “relevant Government Service office” means an office in the Government Service the creation and maintenance of which is provided for by the operation of this Act.
