VETERINARY SURGEONS ACT 2015 (NO. 29 OF 2015) - SECT 53

How must complaint be made?

    (1)     A complaint must—

        (a)     be in writing; and

        (b)     be signed by the person making the complaint; and

        (c)     include the person's name and address.

    (2)     However, the board may accept a complaint that does not comply with subsection (1).

    (3)     If the board accepts an oral complaint, the board must require the person making the complaint to put the complaint in writing and sign it, unless satisfied that there is a good reason for not doing so.

    (4)     If the person fails to comply with the requirement under subsection (3), the board need not take any further action on the complaint.

    (5)     The Minister may make guidelines for the exercise of a discretion by the board under subsection (2).

    (6)     A guideline is a disallowable instrument.

Note     A disallowable instrument must be notified, and presented to the Legislative Assembly, under the Legislation Act
