(a) by omitting paragraph ( 1) (c) and substi tuting the following paragraph:
" (c) for and in relation to giving effec t to the Convention, other than provisions of the Convention to which effect is give n by a provision of this Act; " ;
(b) by omitting subparagraph ( 1)(d) (i) and substituti ng the following subparagraph :
" (i) giving effect to the Conventio n, other than provisions of the Convention to which effect is given by a p rovision of this Act; and " ; and
(c) by omitting subsection (2) and substitut ing the following subsection s:
" (2) Regulations, and orders made pursuant to t he regulations, giving effect to Annex I or II to the Convention do not apply in relation to a ship as defined by subsection (4) to the ex tent that a law of a State or a Territory makes provision giving effect to the A nnex in relation to that ship.
" (2A) Regulations, and orders made purs uant to the regulations, giving effect to Annex III, IV or V to the Conventio n do not apply in relation to a ship as defined in subsection (4) to the exte nt that a law of the Jervis Bay Territory or an external Territory makes provision giving effect to the A nnex in relation to the ship. " .
