1991 No. 329 EXPLOSIVES REGULATIONS - REG 29

Compulsory halts
29. Subject to regulation 30, if Commonwealth explosives are being transported
on a road vehicle on a journey of more than 10 kilometres, the driver of the
vehicle must, in a location in which it is safe to inspect the vehicle:

   (a)  after the vehicle has travelled not less than 1 kilometre and not more
        than 10 kilometres of the journey, or as soon thereafter as it is
        practicable to do so, having regard to:

        (i)    safety considerations; and

        (ii)   any relevant State or Territory law relating to the stopping of
               vehicles on roads; stop the vehicle for the purpose of
               inspecting the vehicle and the explosives; and

   (b)  as soon as practicable after the end of each successive 2 hour period
        of travelling time of the vehicle following the stopping referred to
        in paragraph (a), again stop the vehicle for that purpose.
