1996 No. 298 PETROLEUM (SUBMERGED LANDS) (MANAGEMENT OF SAFETY ON OFFSHORE FACILITIES) REGULATIONS - REG 36

36. (1) A person must not do any act that directly or indirectly endangers, or
interferes with, the safety of another person on a facility. Penalty: 100
penalty units

(2) In this regulation, "act", in relation to a person, includes omission to
do any act that the person is under a duty to perform:

   (a)  under:

        (i)    the Act or these Regulations; or

        (ii)   any other law in force in, or applied to, the adjacent area
               where the facility is located; or

   (b)  under any contract to which the person is a party.
