In this Part –

Court means a court of petty sessions;

victim means –

(a) a victim within the meaning of section 81A of the Sentencing Act 1997 or section 36A of the Youth Justice Act 1997 ; or

(b) a person allowed to furnish to the Court a written statement under section 81A(2A) of the Sentencing Act 1997 or section 36A(3) of the Youth Justice Act 1997 ;

victim impact statement means a statement furnished under section 81A of the Sentencing Act 1997 , or section 36A of the Youth Justice Act 1997 , by a victim of an offence.
