(1) A driver must not stop on a length of road to which a clearway sign applies, unless subrule (2) or (3) applies to the driver.Penalty: Fine not exceeding 5 penalty units.(1A) In subrule (1) road does not include a road-related area.

Road-related area is defined in rule 13.(2) The driver of a public bus may stop on the length of road if the driver is dropping off, or picking up, passengers. Note Public bus is defined in the dictionary.(3) The driver of a taxi may stop on the length of road if Note Taxi is defined in the dictionary.(a) the driver is dropping off, or picking up, passengers; and(b) there is not another law of this jurisdiction prohibiting the driver of a taxi from stopping on a length of road to which a clearway sign applies.(4) A clearway sign applies, for the days or times indicated on the sign, to a length of road beginning at the sign and ending at the nearest of the following:(a) a clearway sign on the road that indicates different days or times;(b) an end clearway sign on the road;(c) the end of the road.
